Great location, friendly staff
Location was great, in the heart of the city on Puerta del Sol square, very close to almost every place to see in Madrid. The staff was really friendly, they helped us with anything we wanted. The room was very clean, cleaned every day and towels can be changed every day if you want.
There wasn't a safe at the room to store passport, money, etc. Last morning there was no hot water in the bathroom for an hour, had to wait till it was fixed. Since the room was in the square, the noises heard at night should not be surprising, but the noises from other rooms were very loud.

excellent location. comfortable bed. nice breakfast of toast/croissant, jam and tea or coffee
low ceilings on staircase(banged head). bathroom tiny.

Excellent location, great and friendly staff. Will book again with a quiet room.
The location is the best part of this hostel. We were surrounded by shops and restaurants and the Metro is at your doorstep. A lot of the sightseeing sites are walking distance. Although we didn't have any, breakfast was very simple and fairly cheap. The room and beds are a decent size. You feel safe as theres police presence throughout the day and night. The room was cleaned daily and towels changed daily too.
The WiFi wasn't that great. Choppy at the best of times. Our bath tub had an issue with the water not flowing well. But we sorted that out as much as we could using a plunger. If you ask for a room with a view then be prepared for the noise. There can be noise throughout the night so if you are light sleeper then you will have to forfeit the view and ask for a quiet room. Also they didn't have a safe to store important documents.
